Ingredients

1 | Envelope unflavored gelatin | |
1 | cup | Apple Sauce |
½ | cup | Firmly packed brown sugar |
2 | Eggs; beaten | |
¼ | teaspoon | Cloves |
¼ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
3 | cups | Plain yogurt |
½ | cup | Golden raisins |
Directions
In medium saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over apple sauce. Stir to blend; let stand 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in brown sugar, eggs, cloves and nutmeg; mix well.
Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved and mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat. Cool. Stir in yogurt.
Pour into 8 or 9-inch square pan. Cover; freeze until almost firm, about 1 to 3 hours, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Spoon mixture into chilled large bowl or food processor bowl. Beat until light and fluffy but not thawed. Stir in raisins.
Return to pan. Freeze until firm, about 1 to 3 hours.
VARIATION: Substitute cinnamon for cloves.
Yields 1 quart.
