Frosty apple bites

½teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonNutmeg
½cupMargarine or butter
1cupFirmly packed brown sugar
1Egg; unbeaten
1teaspoonVanilla
cupEvaporated milk
1cupWalnuts; chopped
1cupApples; pared and chopped
½cupSemi-sweet chocolate chips
2cupsPowdered sugar; sifted
3tablespoonsButter; melted
1teaspoonCinnamon
2tablespoonsEvaporated milk; (up to 3)

CINNAMON GLAZE

Sift together all the dry ingredients. Then cream margarine and brown sugar and then add the unbeaten egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add the dry ingredients alternately with evaporated milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in walnuts and apples and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes. Frost while warm with cinnamon glaze.

Glaze: Combine sugar butter and cinnamon. Add evaporated milk until of spreading consistency. Yields 4 dozen cookies.
