Depression pie (meat pie)

Ingredients

| 1¼ | pounds | Ground beef |
| ⅓ | cup | Chopped onion |
| ¼ | cup | Chopped green peppers |
| 1 | can | (8 oz.) tomato sauce |
| 1 | small | Can mushrooms |
| 1 | can | (8 oz.) green beans |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Cumin seed |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
| 1 | can | (8 oz.) crescent rolls |
| 1 | Egg; slightly beaten | |
| 2 | cups | Shredded Cheddar cheese; or Monterey Jack |
Directions
Brown and drain ground beef, onions, peppers. Add spices and mushrooms, green beans, tomato sauce. Separate rolls and place in deep dish pie pan.
Combine eggs and ½ the cheese. Spread over crust and spoon hot mix into crust top with 1 cup of cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with tossed salad.
