Crumble torte

Ingredients
| Quantity | Ingredient | |

| ½ | cup | Walnuts; chopped |
| 1 | pack | Dates; chopped in small pieces |
| 3 | Eggs; separated | |
| 6 | tablespoons | Coarse bread crumbs |
| 1 | teaspoon | (heaping) baking powder |
| 1¼ | cup | Sugar |
Directions
Mix all ingredients together with egg yolks. Beat egg whites stiffly; fold into mixture. Pour into buttered 9x9 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven -- for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream over ice cream. This is an old, old recipe.
