Crisp peanut butter cookies

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Butter
1 cup Creamy or chunky style peanut butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brown sugar; firmly packed
2 Eggs; beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
cup Sifted flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Soda
1 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Stir together butter, peanut butter and sugars until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt over sugar mixture. Stir until blended. If necessary, chill dough until it can be easily handled. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Flatten with floured bottom of glass or with floured fork making crosswise pattern. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 5 dozen. MRS FERRILL MARTIN (BETTY)
