Cranberry-almond apple pie

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
¼ cup All-purpose flour
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine --
\N \N Melted
½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon Salt
6 mediums Apple -- thinly sliced
1 cup Cranberries -- fresh or
\N \N Frozen
1 each 9 inch pie shell
\N \N Topping
½ cup Packed brown sugar
⅓ cup All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
⅓ cup Almonds -- toasted

In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, butter, nutmeg and salt; mix well.

Add apples and cranberries; stir gently. Pour into pie shell. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in almonds; sprinkle over filling. bake at 350 deg for 1 hr. or until apples are tender. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
