Cranberry chutney 4

Measure Ingredient
1 \N Bag Ocean Spray cranberries
1 medium Red onion, chopped
½ cup Almonds, whole
1 medium Apple, chopped
2 \N Navel oranges, chopped
1 cup Dry red wine (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, etc.)
1 cup Demerara sugar (or opt for light brown or turbinado sugar)
1 teaspoon Grated orange peel
½ teaspoon Each: allspcice, cinnmon, ginger
¼ \N Teapsoon ground clove

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Combine all ingredients in a stainless steel pot.

Bring to a boil uncovered. Then lower to a simmer and cover for for the remaining cooking time: about 1 hour. The mixture should be thick like a good finished jam or marmalade.
