Cranberry chutney 2

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 cups Cranberries
2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Cider vinegar
1 medium Onion; chopped
1 Clove garlic; minced
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Allspice
⅛ teaspoon Cayenne
1 cup Dates; pitted and chopped
1 cup Currants
⅔ cup Brown sugar
½ cup Crystallized ginger; chopped
1 cup Almond slivers

Serving Ideas : This is a great one for the holidays! NOTES : Combine ingredients of group #2, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add groups #1 and #3, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add #4 and refrigerate. This also freezes well for future use.
