Cottage cheese oatmeal cookies

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1½ cup Sugar
½ cup Molasses
1 \N Egg beaten
1 teaspoon Lemon peel
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
¾ cup Melted shortening
½ cup Creamed cottage cheese
3 cups Quick cooking rolled oats

>From the "Crafty Chef" in Arts and Crafts magazine: This is not TNT; however, I haven't seen it posted and it looked good.

Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix next five ingredients, then add the sifted flour mixture, shortening, and cottage cheese. Blend in rolled oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350-375 until done. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
