Cornstarch pastry

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1¼ cup Flour
6 tablespoons Shortening
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 each Egg Yolk
1½ teaspoon Salt

Mix and sift all the dry ingredients. Rub in shortening with a fork or finger tips, then add beaten egg yolk. Add enough water to hold paste together and roll out.
