2½ cup | Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour*, sifted |
½ teaspoon | French's Cinnamon |
¼ teaspoon | Soda |
¾ cup | Butter |
1 cup | Sugar |
1 \N | Egg; unbeaten |
1 tablespoon | Milk |
3 ounces | Unsweetened chocolate; melted |
1 teaspoon | French's Vanilla |
½ cup | Funsten's Nuts; chopped |
BAKE at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. MAKES about 7 dozen cookies. Sift together flour, cinnamon, and soda. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming well. Blend in egg, milk, melted chocolate, vanilla, and nuts. Add the dry ingredients; mix well. Shape dough into roll 2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper or aluminum foil; chill at least 6 hours. Cut into ⅛-inch slices; place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in moderately hot oven (400 degrees) 6 to 8 minutes. *For use with Pillsbury's Best Self-Rising Flour, omit soda.
