Chocolate cookie cake

Yield: 12 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pack Chocolate cake mix
1¼ cup Water
½ cup Butter or margarine --
\N \N Softened
3 \N Eggs
1 cup Chocolate sandwich cookies
\N \N (about 10) -- crushed
1 can Vanilla frosting

Heat oven to 350. Generously grease and flour 2 9" pans. Beat cake mix, water, margarine and eggs in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds.

Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Reserve 2 tbsp of the crushed cookies. Fold remaining crushed cookies into batter. Pour into pans. Bake 30 to 37 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.

Cool cake completely. Crush reserved cookies finely; mix into frosting. Fill layers and frost side and top of cake with frosting.

If, desired, garnish with additional chocolate cookies cut in half.
