Chicken burgundy

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 \N (3-lb) chicken; cut up
¼ pounds Butter or margarine
1 medium Onion; chopped
1 can (8-oz) mushroom stems and pieces; with liquid
2 cups Burgundy wine
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
2 \N Cloves garlic; mashed
1 \N Bay leaf
¼ teaspoon Thyme

Brown chicken lightly in butter & place in casserole. Brown onions in small amount of butter. Add mushrooms, wine, salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf & thyme. Pour this hot mixture over chicken & cover. Bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
