Chicken burgundy

Ingredients

| 1 | (3-lb) chicken; cut up | |
| ¼ | pounds | Butter or margarine |
| 1 | medium | Onion; chopped |
| 1 | can | (8-oz) mushroom stems and pieces; with liquid |
| 2 | cups | Burgundy wine |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| 2 | Cloves garlic; mashed | |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Thyme |
Directions
Brown chicken lightly in butter & place in casserole. Brown onions in small amount of butter. Add mushrooms, wine, salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf & thyme. Pour this hot mixture over chicken & cover. Bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
