Measure | Ingredient |

1 \N | (3-lb) chicken; cut up |
¼ pounds | Butter or margarine |
1 medium | Onion; chopped |
1 can | (8-oz) mushroom stems and pieces; with liquid |
2 cups | Burgundy wine |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Pepper |
2 \N | Cloves garlic; mashed |
1 \N | Bay leaf |
¼ teaspoon | Thyme |
Brown chicken lightly in butter & place in casserole. Brown onions in small amount of butter. Add mushrooms, wine, salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf & thyme. Pour this hot mixture over chicken & cover. Bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
