Champagne ice
2 1/2 quarts
Ingredients

1½ | cup | Sugar |
3 | cups | Water |
1½ | tablespoon | Lemon rind; grated |
⅓ | cup | Lemon juice; fresh |
2 | Bottles champagne;(75 ml ea) |
Directions
Combine all ingredients, stirring well; pour into freezer container of a 1-gallon hand-turned or electric freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Pack freezer with additional ice and rock salt, and let stand 1 hour before serving, if desired.
