Cardamon crisps

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Butter or margarine
½ cup Honey
½ cup Cardamon; ground
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 tablespoon Hot water
½ teaspoon Salt
3 cups White flour
1 cup Nuts; chopped (optional)

Cream sugar, butter and honey. Combine flour, cardamon, soda and salt in a bowl, stirring to mix thoroughly. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture ⅓ part at a time. Add hot water after 2nd flour addition. Stir in nuts if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. This is a thin cookie; don't overbake, it is not supposed to brown. They are chewy the first day and then become crisp.
