Yield: 16 brownies
|½ teaspoon||Baking powder|
|2 ounces||Unsweetened baking chocolate|
|2 \N||Eggs, beaten|
|½ cup||Chopped almonds|
|½ cup||Chopped dates|
|1 teaspoon||Vanilla extract|
Preheat oven to 350oF. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into bowl. Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler over hot water. Remove from heat.
Combine sugar and eggs in large bowl; add chocolate mixture. Stir in flour. Add almonds, dates and vanilla. Spread batter in greased 8" square baking pan; bake for 25 minutes. Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
