| 1¾ | cup | Evaporated milk |
| 2 | tablespoons | Corn sirup |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 2 | tablespoons | Butter or butter substitute |
| 1 | cup | Coconut |
| 1 | cup | Chopped almonds |
| Few grains salt | ||
Directions
Boil sugar, sirup, and milk to soft ball stage (234 - 238 F). Remove from fire. Add butter. Cool to room temperature. Beat until thick and creamy. Add coconut, nuts, salt, and flavoring. Pour into well-buttered, shallow pan. Cut in squares. Mrs. M. Carello, Cato, WI.
