|2 cups||Brown sugar|
|1 cup||Butter or margarine|
|4 cups||All-purpose flour|
|1 teaspoon||Ground nutmeg|
|1 teaspoon||Ground cloves|
|1 cup||Good bourbon whiskey|
|3 teaspoons||Baking soda; dissolved in|
|¼ pounds||Citron or candied fruit|
|2 pounds||Chopped pecans|
Mix in the order given and drop by half teaspoonfuls on a buttered cookie sheet. Bake at 350° F.
