Bob hope's dove & mushroom stew

Ingredients

3Doves; cleaned; cut into
1tablespoonFat
2cupsMeat stock
2tablespoonsMushroom sauce
½cupMushrooms
2tablespoonsCream
Salt, pepper; & cayenne

Directions

Cook doves in fat for a short time, don't brown. Add salt, pepper, and caye nne to meat stock and mushroom sauce to taste. Simmer for about an hour, or until tender. Add mushrooms and simmer for 10 minutes. Add cream and heat. Arrange mushrooms around doves on a hot platter.
