Basic bread and variations w/homemade breadmaker mix

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Loaf:
1½ teaspoon Active dry yeast
2¼ cup Breadmaker mix
1 tablespoon Butter -- or vegetable oil
¾ cup Warm water
1½ pounds Loaf:
2 teaspoons Active dry yeast
3⅓ cup Breadmaker mix
1½ tablespoon Butter -- or vegetable oil
1¼ cup Warm water

Add ingredients to the bread pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Use Basic/White cycle, light crust setting.

Variations: Cinnamon Raisin - To the basic recipe add ½ c raisins and 1½ ts ground cinnamon. If desired, glaze with a powdered sugar glaze while still warm.

French Bread - Eliminate butter or oil.

Sweet Bread (Sally Lunn type) - Add 1 tb of sugar along with dry ingredients. Bread 1 egg into measuring c , then fill the c with water to the amount called for in therecipe.

Herb Bread - Add 1 ½ ts dry herbs (rosemary, basil, dill, etc) with the dry ingredients.
