Applesauce 'n yam scallop

Ingredients

| 4 | tablespoons | Butter; melted, divided |
| ¾ | cup | Bread cubes, soft |
| 1 | cup | Applesauce |
| ¾ | cup | Yams; cooked, mashed |
| 2 | tablespoons | Sugar, brown; firmly packed |
| dash | Nutmeg, ground | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | cup | Milk, evaporated |
| 1 | Egg; beaten | |
Directions
Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over bread cubes; toss lightly and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients; pour into a greased 3-cup casserole. Top with bread cubes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes; allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
