Applesauce 'n yam scallop

Ingredients

4tablespoonsButter; melted, divided
¾cupBread cubes, soft
1cupApplesauce
¾cupYams; cooked, mashed
2tablespoonsSugar, brown; firmly packed
dashNutmeg, ground
¼teaspoonSalt
¼cupMilk, evaporated
1Egg; beaten

Directions

Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over bread cubes; toss lightly and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients; pour into a greased 3-cup casserole. Top with bread cubes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes; allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
