Apple crunch #1

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
5 cups Chopped or sliced raw apples
1 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Flour
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup Quick oatmeal
1 \N Stick butter; melted
½ teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Soda
1 pinch Salt

Place raw apples in 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon.

Mix flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, butter, baking powder, soda & salt. Spread over apples. Pat smooth. Bake at 300 for 1 hour. Serve warm with lemon sauce, ice cream or whipped topping. (Our favorite way is with ice cream, but you need to cut down a little on the sugar if you do this.) MARY ALICE TAYLOR
