1 cup | Onion; finely chopped |
1 tablespoon | Butter or margarine |
2 cups | Cooked chicken; diced (or turkey, ham, pork or roast beef) |
1 cup | Cooked mixed vegetables |
1 can | Cream of chicken soup; (10 3/4 ounce) |
1 teaspoon | Poultry Seasoning (For Chicken Or Turkey, Only) |
1 teaspoon | Celery salt |
⅛ teaspoon | Black pepper |
½ cup | Chicken broth |
1 cup | Grated Cheddar cheese |
Place onion and butter in a 2 quart casserole. Cover with wax paper.
Microwave at high (100%) until tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Combine all ingredients except cheese, with onions. Cover with wax paper. Microwave at medium high (70%) until heated through, 12 to 14 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Microwave at medium high (70%) until cheese is melted, 3 to 4 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
NOTE: If using ham, use cream of asparagus soup. If using leftover roast pork, use cream of celery soup. If using leftover roast beef, use cream of mushroom soup.
