Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter or margarine
2 cups Brown sugar
2 eaches Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Almond extract
1 each Package chocolate chips (12oz)
1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
2½ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
3 cups Quick cooking rolled oats
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons Vanilla nut extract


Cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla and almond extracts. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir in oatmeal. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and set aside. To make the chocolate filling, mix the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt and melt over low heat. Add the walnuts and vanilla nut extract. Spread half of th eoatmeal mixture in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with chocolate mixture and dot with the remaining oatmeal mixture.
