Ingredients

| 5 | Eggs | |
| ½ | cup | Butter |
| 1½ | cup | Milk |
| 2 | tablespoons | Corn syrup |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 2 | Tart apples, peeled & sliced | |
| 1 | Loaf French bread | |
| 1 | cup | Apple sauce |
| 1 | Ten ounce jar apple jelly | |
| ½ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Ground cloves |
| 1 | dash | Salt |
Directions
SPICY APPLE SYRUP
Cook sugar, butter and syrup until syrupy, pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Spread apple slices over this. Slice bread into ¾ inch slices and place on top of apple slices. Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Serve with spicy apple syrup.
Spicy Apple Syrup: Combine all ingredients in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring consistently until jelly melts and syrup is hot.
