Taco tower casserole

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Lean ground beef
1 medium Onion, minced
1 pack (1.25-oz.) Taco seasoning mix
1 cup Rosarita Traditional Salsa mild
½ cup Water
1 can (16-oz.) Rosarita No Fat Traditional Refried Beans
2 cups Crushed, unsalted tortilla chips
2 cups Grated Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, mixed (or low fat)
\N x Lettuce (optional)
\N x Tomatoes (optional)
\N x Lite sour cream (optional)
\N x Chopped olives (optional)

In a large skillet brown hamburger and onions; drain. Add taco mix, salsa and water; mix well. Simmer for 10 minutes, add refried beans and set aside. In an ungreased 12- x 9- x 2-inch baking dish place a layer of ½ the tortilla chips, ½ meat and bean mixture, and ½ the mixed cheeses; repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes. If desired, serve on a bed of lettuce and top with tomatoes, sour cream and chopped olives.

Serve with additional salsa.
