Suckers

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
¾ cup Corn syrup
¼ cup Butter
¼ teaspoon Food coloring
¼ teaspoon Peppermint extract
1 \N Egg white
1 cup Powdered sugar

ICING

In heavy pan bring sugar, syrup, butter to boil, stirring. Add food coloring; stir to blend. Continue cooking to 265 degrees, strirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in flavoring. Place sticks on cookie sheet. Drop by tablespoons on stick. When hard mix egg white and powdered sugar. Decorate suckers.
