Ingredients

| 1 | cup | Light molasses |
| ½ | cup | Shortening |
| 1 | teaspoon | Soda |
| 2¼ | cup | Flour |
| 1¾ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1½ | teaspoon | Ginger |
Directions
Heat molasses to boiling point. Remove from heat. Stir in shortening & soda. Blend remaining ingredients; stir in. Chill dough. Heat oven to 350. Roll dough out very thin on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on lightly greased sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes. Do not overbake.
