Stewed chicken and noodles

Measure Ingredient
2½ \N To 3 - lb. chicken
4 cups Water
1 \N Onion
2 cups Fine,dry noodles
2 teaspoons Salt
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
1 bunch Celery tops,carrot,a sprig of parsley
\N \N (all tied together)

Cut chicken into pieces. Add water, salt and seasonings. Bring to a boil; remove scum and simmer chicken until tender, about 3 to 4 hours. Remove bunch of vegetable seasonings. Add noodles to chicken and simmer 15 minutes. Add pepper and more salt, if necessary.
