Snappy green beans

| ½ | pounds | Hot sausage, cut thin |
| 2 | cans | Cut green beans (#303) |
| 2 | Green onions, sliced thin | |
| ½ | teaspoon | Parsley |
| ½ | teaspoon | Thyme |
| 1 | teaspoon | Oil or shortening |
| Salt to taste | ||
Directions
Fry sausage in oil until slightly browned. Add green onions.
Cook 1 minute longer. Add liquid from string beans, thyme, salt and parsley. Cook until sausage is very tender. Add green beans and cook 5 minutes longer. Fresh green beans may be used if desired. Boil beans until tender. Use water from boiled beans and prepare as for canned beans.
