Measure | Ingredient |

1 pounds | Fully-cooked smoked sausage, cut into 3/4-inch slices |
4 slices | Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces |
2 mediums | Onions, thinly sliced |
4 mediums | Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces |
1½ cup | Water |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
\N dash | Fresh ground pepper |
2 cups | Milk |
Cook bacon in large saucepan until crisp; remove to absorbent paper.
Add onions and cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Pour off drippings. Add potatoes, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk, sausage and bacon, stirring to combine, and heat slowly 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
