|1 pounds||Fully-cooked smoked sausage, cut into 3/4-inch slices|
|4 slices||Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces|
|2 mediums||Onions, thinly sliced|
|4 mediums||Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces|
|\N dash||Fresh ground pepper|
Cook bacon in large saucepan until crisp; remove to absorbent paper.
Add onions and cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Pour off drippings. Add potatoes, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk, sausage and bacon, stirring to combine, and heat slowly 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
