Simple squash toss

Ingredients

| 2 | pounds | (about 8) medium-sized yellow squash |
| 2 | ounces | Jar diced pimiento; drained |
| 2 | tablespoons | Water |
| 2 | tablespoons | Butter or margarine |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Dried whole basil |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Garlic powder |
| Salt & pepper to taste | ||
Directions
Wash squash, and cut into ½-inch-thick slices; place in a 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with pimientos. Add water, and dot with butter; sprinkle with basil & garlic powder. Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes before serving.
