10 Skewers
Ingredients

| 1 | pounds | Chicken breasts, lean pork, beef, or ham sliced thin |
| 3 | Cloves of minced garlic | |
| ½ | Onion, minced | |
| 2 | teaspoons | Minced cilantro |
| 1 | tablespoon | Brown sugar |
| The juice of 1 lime | ||
| 1 | tablespoon | Nampla (\"fish sauce\") |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vegetable oil |
Directions
Thread the meet onto 12-inch bamboo skewers, placing several strips on each of the 16 skewers. Combine the garlic, onion, cilantro, brown sugar, lime juice, nampla, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Pour over the skewers and marinate for 1 hour. Heat barbecue coals until hot, or preheat a broiler.
Place the skewers on the grill or broiler rack and cook until done as desired. Serve the satays with peanut butter sauce.
Makes 10-12 skewers.
