Sandies

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Butter, softened (1 lb.)
1 cup Powdered sugar
4 teaspoons Vanilla
2 tablespoons Water
4 cups Flour
2 cups Pecans, chopped

powdered sugar (approx. ¾ lb. total needed for recipe) Cream butter and 1 cup powdered sugar. Add the vanilla and water. Add flour; mix well and add pecans. Pinch off approximately 1 heaping Tbsp. dough.

Form small rolls, 1½" long. Or, roll into a ball and then between palms, flatten somewhat to form circular cookies. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. While hot, roll in additional powdered sugar to coat. Let cool and store in container with waxed paper separating layers of cookies. ** This recipe has already been doubled from Mom's original recipe. You can't make too many of these rich cookies!
