Salmon steaks with mustard-mint sauce

Ingredients

⅔ | cup | Mayonnaise |
2 | tablespoons | Fresh lemon juice |
4 | teaspoons | Coarse-grained Dijon-style mustard |
¼ | cup | Shredded fresh mint leaves, or 2 teaspoons dried |
4 | Salmon steaks, 6 to 8 ounces each | |
Salt and pepper |
Directions
1. Whisk the mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, mint and 2 Tablespoons water together in a bowl and let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Preheat the broiler.
2. Season the salmon steaks with salt and pepper to taste, then broil for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
3. Place a broiled salmon steak on each of 4 warm plates and top with mustard-mint sauce. Serve hot.
