Refried beans with cheese

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Cooked pinto beans or |
| 1 | each | (16 oz.) can, drained |
| 1 | each | Onion, finely chopped |
| ½ | teaspoon | Chili powder |
| 1 | x | Salt |
| 1 | x | Freshly ground pepper |
| ¼ | cup | Shredded cheddar che |
Directions
Heat the oil in a large skillet, add the onion, garlic, and chili powder saute over low heat until the onion is transparent. Add the beans by th and mash into a paste until all are used. Mix well. Add salt and peppe taste and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. Serve as a side dish.
