Prune rye bread

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Sifted rye flour
1½ teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Sugar
2 cups Sifted wheat flour
6 teaspoons Baking powder
1 Egg; slightly beaten
1 cup Cooked prunes; chopped
1¾ cup Milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Combine egg and milk, add to flour mixture, stirring only until well mixed, stir in prunes. Turn into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
