Prune rye bread

Ingredients

2cupsSifted rye flour
teaspoonSalt
¾cupSugar
2cupsSifted wheat flour
6teaspoonsBaking powder
1Egg; slightly beaten
1cupCooked prunes; chopped
cupMilk

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together. Combine egg and milk, add to flour mixture, stirring only until well mixed, stir in prunes. Turn into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
