Prune pur‚e

Yield: 1 1/4 cups

Measure Ingredient
8 ounces Pitted prunes (abt 1 1/4 cups)
1 cup Boiling water
2 tablespoons Sugar

1. Plump th prunes in the water in a bowl for 15 minutes.

2. Combine the prunes, ⅓ cup of the soaking liquid (or as needed), and the sugar in a food processor and pur‚e to a smooth paste.

Use in place of butter or shortening in baked goods.
