| 1½ | cup | Sugar |
| 3 | Eggs | |
| 3 | cups | Flour; unsifted |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 9 | ounces | Mincemeat, crumbled |
Directions
Preheat oven to 375ø. In a large mixer bowl, beat shortning and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together dry ingredients; gradually blend into shortning mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat.* Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2-inches apart, onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Garnish with glaze if desired. Makes about 6½ dozen.
