Decorated cookies

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2⅔ cup Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Butter or margarine
2 \N Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
3½ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
1½ cup Powdered sugar
1 \N Egg white; slightly beaten
1 tablespoon Butter; melted
⅛ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Vanilla
\N \N Food coloring & sprinkles

GLAZE

Cream sugar, salt & butter. Add eggs & vanilla & continue mixing until fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, soda & cinnamon. Mix well & chill. Roll dough out on lightly floured surface to ⅛-inch thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutter & bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Cool & ice. Top with decorative sprinkles, if desired. (Great for Christmas, Valentine or Halloween!) Glaze: Blend sugar with egg white & add butter, salt & vanilla.

Beat until smooth. Add a few drops of food coloring of your choice.
