Pork apple steaks

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Pork steak-all visible fat removed
1 can (14 oz) applesauce
¼ teaspoon EACH cinnamon;nutmeg, salt, and pepper
¼ cup Sherry; (or non-alcohol sherry)

Brown steak on both sides in frying pan sprayed with cooking spray or under a broiler. Arrange in baking pan large enough to hold in single layer.

Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl. Stir. Spoon about ½ mixture over the steaks. Cook, uncovered, in 350 oven for about 20 minutes. Turn steaks over. Spoon second ½ of sauce over. Return to oven and cool for about 30 more minutes or until tender.
