Pizzelles

Measure Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose flour*
1 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking powder
¾ cup Margarine or butter, melted
\N \N And cooled
1 tablespoon Anise extract or vanilla
4 \N Eggs, slightly beaten

*If using self-rising flour, omit baking powder.

Grease pizzelle iron. Heat pizzelle iron according to manufacturer's directions. Mix all ingredients. Drop 1 tablespoon batter onto heated pizzelle iron and close iron. Bake about 30 seconds or until golden brown. Carefully remove pizzelle from iron; cool. Repeat with remaining batter.
