Pistachio nut tea bread

Grated peel (no white attached) of 2 oranges | ||
12 | cups | Self-rising flour |
2 | cups | Fresh or reconstituted powdered buttermilk |
1 | cup | Whole pistachios |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until well blended.
Beat in the eggs, orange juice, and peel until light. Add the flour, alternating with the buttermilk. Fold in the pistachios. Pour into the prepared pan and bake until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
Makes 1 loaf
