Peach cobbler with praline biscuits

Ingredients

| 1½ | cup | Sugar |
| 2 | tablespoons | Cornstarch |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| 1 | cup | Water |
| 8 | cups | Sliced peaches |
| 3 | tablespoons | Butter |
| ¼ | cup | Firmly packed brown sugar |
| 1 | cup | Chopped pecans |
| 2 | cups | Self-rising flour |
| 2 | teaspoons | Sugar |
| ½ | cup | Shortening |
| ¾ | cup | Buttermilk |
Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients in a Dutch oven. Add peaches. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute, stirring. Pour into a 13-by-9-inch dish. Combine butter, brown sugar and pecans. Combine flour and 2 tsp sugar; cut in shortening until crumbly. Add buttermilk, stirring until moist. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times. Roll dough to 12-by-8 inches.
Spread with pecan mixture. Starting with long side of dough, roll up. Cut into ½-inch slices. Arrange over peach mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
