Panettone pizza with fried apples

| 3 | Cox's apples; peeled | |
| 1 | ounce | Unsalted butter |
| 1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
| 2 | ounces | Soft brown sugar |
| 1 | Pinches ground cinnamon | |
| 1 | Pinches powdered cloves | |
| 2 | 1 inch slice panettone; (Italian cake) | |
| 2 | Floz clotted cream | |
| Icing sugar | ||
Directions
Core the apples and cut each into 6 wedges. Pan fry the apple in butter and lemon juice for 5 minutes. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves; continue to cook until the apple is soft and the sugar resembles toffee.
Meanwhile, toast each slice of panettone on both sides under the grill. Top with the apples, a dollop of clotted cream and dust with icing sugar.
