|4||Garlic cloves; up to 5|
|2 tablespoons||Tomato paste mixed with 1/2 cup water|
|2 pounds||Pitted green olives|
|Salt & pepper to taste|
Heat the oil. Add garlic & turmeric & sauté 1 minute. Add tomato paste/water mixture, olives, salt & pepper & mix. Simmer covered over low heat about 15-20 minutes.
This can be served warm as a side dish or cold as a condiment.
