Nutrient-rich: tortellini soup with peas

Ingredients

3 Garlic cloves, minced
½ pounds Frozen cheese tortellini
10 ounces Canned chicken broth
1 cup Frozen peas
¼ teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Parmesan, freshly grated

Directions

in saucepan, bring 3 cups water and garlic to boil. Add frozen tortellini; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-high; cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Add chicken broth, 1-¼ cups water and peas; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook for 5 minutes or until pasta is tender but firm. Stir in pepper and sprinkle with cheese.

Per Serving: about 325 calories, 20 g protein, 8 g fat, 42 g carbohydrate high source fibre, good source calcium, good source iron.
