Mulled apple or pear cider

2 quarts

Quantity Ingredient
2 quarts Fresh apple cider or pear juice
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
1 tablespoon Finely crushed sweet basil
teaspoon Thyme
½ teaspoon Ginger powder
7 eaches Sticks cinnamon

GARNISH

In a large enameled pot, gently simmer the juice with the spices for 7 minutes.

Break the cinnamon sticks, placing a portion in each tankard or chalice or glass. Pour on warmed cider. Sprinkle sweet basil sparingly on top.
