Ingredients

¾cupCrisco, vegetable
Shortening
1cupSugar
1largeEgg
¼cupLight molasses
2cupsAll-purpose white flour
2tablespoonsGinger -- ground
2teaspoonsBaking soda
1teaspoonCinnamon -- ground
½teaspoonSalt

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together the Crisco and sugar, add egg and molasses. Sift together remaining ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Combine well. Form the dough into balls (about the size of walnuts) and roll in additional granulated sugar. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheets.
