Mom's ginger snaps

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Crisco, vegetable
\N \N Shortening
1 cup Sugar
1 large Egg
¼ cup Light molasses
2 cups All-purpose white flour
2 tablespoons Ginger -- ground
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 teaspoon Cinnamon -- ground
½ teaspoon Salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together the Crisco and sugar, add egg and molasses. Sift together remaining ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Combine well. Form the dough into balls (about the size of walnuts) and roll in additional granulated sugar. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheets.
