Mincemeat torte

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2½ cup Fine graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sugar
3 \N Beaten eggs
1 pack (9 oz) mincemeat; broken in pieces
1 cup Chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon Grated lemon peel

Combine crumbs, baking powder and salt; set aside. Gradually add sugar to eggs, beating until very thick; fold in crumbs, mincemeat, nuts and lemon peel. Turn mixture into a well greased 9 in square pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or till lightly browned. Cut in squares and serve warm with Tangy Lemon Sauce or Whipped cream.
